Merrion Row Hotel and Public House

What an amazing place. Stayed in The deluxe King suite with my 3 older teenagers. Was room enough for all of us. Amenities were fabulous. Air con, large TV, WiFi etc. Staff were friendly & helpful. Location was fantastic, just up the road from Times Square & couldn't hear any noise at night. Hotel was clean, trendy & food was great. Housekeeping came daily too. Lovely homely feel. Will definitely stay here again. 10 out of 10.

Lovely clean and comfortable room. Surprisingly quiet at night given location just off of Times Square. I calm oasis in the midst of it all. Wonderful restaurant and bar with friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay here and would recommend to anyone. Another nice touch was giving us back the city tax of $25 a night in vouchers to spend at the bar and restaurant. Gave us an excuse for a pre dinner cocktail. So nice to stay in a smaller hotel like this than a larger less personal one. Thoroughly enjoyed.

The location cannot be beat! 2 blocks from Times Square, 12 minutes from Empire State Bldg, we walked to both of our Broadway theaters. They are doing some construction on the street below so there is some noise, but being in the heart of NYC you can expect some- it wasn’t too bad. Generally it was quiet. There isn’t really a lobby- just a person sitting at a stand with a laptop. We were greeted with a smile when we arrived- very pleasant. Our room was on the second floor- we took the very small elevator up because our luggage was so large and heavy. Our room was a decent size for NY. We had a double room- the beds looked like Murphy beds with the stowage unit built into the wall. Regardless, they were both comfortable and we slept very well. The bathroom shower was incredible. It took a while to heat up but the pressure was fantastic. There wasn’t a vent in the bathroom so the stream from the shower was a bit overwhelming, had to open the bathroom door to let it cool off. AC worked great- no compliments, it was quiet so we didn’t have any noise with the unit. We did eat in the restaurant twice - the back dining room was very charming and the food was good.

room 401. took the stairs. we were out late after shows and slept late- very cozy. Black out curtains! Had some pre-show drinks at the bar and one room service breakfast. Menu looked good but didn't dive in this trip.... super cool. awesome location. decided not to spend all our money on a big name chain Hotel! where we usually stay......we're HOOKED after this trip. We visit NYC a couple times a year and will be back! We booked it because of the positive online reviews we read.....couldn't agree more!

The staff is the best part of this hotel! They give off a genuine warmth. 1 staff member even stopped eating his lunch to help me when he saw that I was having an issue. My room was nice and spacious. I thought I'd have a problem with noise since I was so close to the street, but honestly it was on the quieter side. This may be due to this being a weekday booking and also because my room was at the end of a corridor, shared with just 1 other hotel room. The remaining rooms in that corridor were for storage/maintenance. I would visit this hotel again. Nice interior design/decor, great staff and location, lots of hot water in the shower(does take a few minutes to get hot though), great black out curtains and comfortable bed. Oh and they hold your bags for you as long as you need after check out
